As part of our work at E&K Health Consulting we are often called upon by our clients to help them justify and motivate investments on healthcare interventions. Recently, we have been working on a pitch for investments on vaccines research whereby we had to demonstrate that vaccines have played a pivotal role in the control of infectious diseases in humans and have proven to be one of the most significant medical interventions in public health. E&K Health Consulting’s comparative analysis of the incidence of some vaccine-preventable infectious diseases between the pre-vaccines era1 and the year 20122 in the USA indeed demonstrates this significance. This provides compelling justification for further investments in vaccines against current and future medical concerns including Ebola
